Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our daily manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for leading a team of production operators and line leaders, ensuring that daily production targets are met efficiently without compromising our stringent quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical/electronics or fiber optics manufacturing and a proven track record of effective team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Supervision: Manage, motivate, and guide Production Line Leaders and Operators to ensure smooth daily operations. Conduct shift briefings, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
• Production Planning & Execution: Collaborate with the Production Planning & Control (PPC) team to execute daily production schedules. Ensure that output targets for optoelectronic modules and components are met on time.
• Quality Control & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards. Work closely with the Quality Engineering team to minimize defects, support root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Process Improvement: Actively identify bottlenecks in the production line and propose continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, 5S) to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Safety & 5S: Cultivate a safe working environment by ensuring full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, as well as proper PPE management. Maintain high 5S standards, particularly in cleanroom environments.
• Training & Development: Identify training needs for production staff, ensuring all operators are adequately trained on new equipment, assembly techniques, and safety protocols.
• Reporting: Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports regarding yield, output, downtime, and labor efficiency for management review.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in fiber optics, telecommunications, semiconductor, or optoelectronics manufacturing is highly advantageous.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with high-tech assembly processes, cleanroom protocols, and quality control systems (ISO standards).
• Leadership Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts, manage diverse teams, and foster a collaborative working culture.
• Language: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken). Knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage to communicate with stakeholders.
• Willingness to Work Shifts: Must be willing to work on rotating shifts if required by production demands.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
