About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Farms, the Farm Operations & Commercial Manager supports the performance, coordination and development of the farm network supplying the tannery. The role combines operational follow-up with commercial coordination, performance analysis, research project management and database oversight.
The role supports the Head of Farms in managing supply continuity, partner follow-up, budget and performance tracking, de-stocking coordination, and cross-functional execution across farms, the tannery and commercial stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Farm operations and performance follow-up
- Support the Head of Farms in monitoring the performance of the farm network, including owned farms and external partners.
- Follow up on operational priorities, risks and action plans across farms.
- Coordinate regular communication with farm managers to ensure alignment on volumes, timing and operational issues.
- Support implementation and follow-up of operational improvement initiatives.
Supply and coordination support
- Support supply planning and follow-up to help ensure continuity between farm output and tannery requirements.
- Monitor volumes, timing, inventories and key supply constraints.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners on day-to-day operational matters.
- Support de-stocking follow-up where needed, in coordination with the relevant commercial stakeholders.
Research project management
- Coordinate research projects within the farm scope, including planning, follow-up and reporting.
- Track timelines, actions, budgets and deliverables for research activities.
- Ensure research projects remain aligned with operational priorities and business needs.
- Consolidate updates and prepare materials for review by the Head of Farms and other stakeholders.
Database management and reporting
- Maintain and update the farm database to ensure accurate and reliable operational, supply and performance data.
- Consolidate data across farms and prepare regular reports, dashboards and analyses.
- Improve data structure, reporting discipline and visibility on key performance indicators.
- Support decision-making through clear and timely reporting.
Cross-functional support
- Coordinate with the tannery, quality, procurement, logistics and finance teams to support alignment across the value chain.
- Prepare meetings, track actions and ensure structured follow-up on key decisions.
- Support follow-up on quality, traceability and compliance topics where relevant.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Operations, Agriculture, Supply Chain or a related field.
Required Skills / Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in operations, supply chain, commodities, raw materials, trading, industrial operations or a related field.
- Experience in multi-site or international operational environments.
- Strong exposure to commercial follow-up, inventory management, supply planning or de-stocking is a plus.
- Experience managing reporting, databases and performance analysis.
- Experience coordinating projects across multiple stakeholders; exposure to research projects is a plus.
