Job Description: Solution & Costing Executive

Position Overview
ASEAN Cableship Pte Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented, highly motivated Solution & Costing Executive to join our growing Engineering & Solution Department. This entry-level role is an excellent launchpad for an aspiring professional looking to build a career at the intersection of marine engineering and commercial strategy.
Working directly under the guidance of our Solution Manager, you will provide vital support in drafting technical proposals, compiling project estimates, and preparing competitive bid packages for regional submarine cable installation and maintenance tenders.
Key Responsibilities
Proposal Coordination: Assist in compiling, formatting, and proofreading technical proposal documents, ensuring compliance with client tender specifications and company standards.
Costing & Estimation Support: Work with the Costing Manager to gather quotes from vendors, marine suppliers, and subcontractors. Assist in maintaining and updating internal cost estimation databases and pricing models.
Technical Documentation: Help draft descriptions of technical solutions, vessel capabilities, and operational methodologies (e.g., cable laying, burial, shore-end operations) based on inputs from senior engineers.
Data & Matrix Management: Maintain systematic tracking of regional port costs, fuel pricing, charter rates, and equipment tariffs to ensure quick access during active bidding cycles.
Tender Logistics: Assist in managing bid clarification logs, tracking submission deadlines, and organizing final tender packages (both digital and physical) for client submission.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Marine, or Electrical), Quantity Surveying, Maritime Studies, or a Business/Finance degree with a strong interest in technical operations.
Experience: 0–2 years of experience. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience in maritime, offshore energy, logistics, or construction contracting are highly encouraged to apply.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office, with intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills (data organization, basic formulas, and costing spreadsheets).
Strong technical reading comprehension ability to review client specifications and extract key requirements.
Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills (essential for proposal writing), sharp attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight timelines during active tender periods.
