Reporting to Senior Laboratory Supervisor, this position will perform laboratory testing and ad-hoc analyses of production samples of Alpha-Olefin Copolymers, namely TAFMER & EPR products, for the chemical plant.

Responsibilities:
Perform daily shipment and non-routine analysis of in-process and finished products in accordance to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and safe work procedures

Perform basic calibration for laboratory equipment to ensure that they are maintained in good working condition

Carry out documentation control for test results and ensure proper documentation of laboratory work and quality control records in accordance to the SOP

Prepare density columns for grade transition for in-process and classification testing

Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained in the Laboratory

Provide support for Laboratory-related assignments as and when assigned by immediate superior

Requirements:
Diploma in Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or an equivalent discipline with 5 years of relevant experience

Entry level candidates without experience are welcome to apply

Self-motivated and able to multi-task

Team player with initiative and good communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Able to perform rotating 12-hour morning shift work

Able to perform overtime work if required

Willing to work in Jurong Island
