Job Description

[Company Name] is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to support manufacturing operations, improve production processes, and work with cross-functional teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.

The successful candidate will be involved in process improvement, production support, equipment and workflow optimisation, and implementation of manufacturing engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Analyse production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support production teams in resolving manufacturing and process-related issues.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
• Work with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to investigate and resolve production issues.
• Support new product introduction, process qualification, and production ramp-up activities.
• Assist with equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and process validation where required.
• Monitor manufacturing performance and use production data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable quality, safety, and company requirements.
• Support engineering projects involving process optimisation, automation, tooling, fixtures, and equipment improvements.
• Prepare technical reports and present improvement results to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in manufacturing, production engineering, process engineering, or a related environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, process improvement, and production operations.
• Ability to analyse problems and develop practical solutions.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, and basic data analysis.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively with production and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent productivity tools.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, CAD, automation, or ERP systems would be an advantage.
