What The Role Is

The officer will be responsible to provide support to divisions on procurement matters relating to:

What You Will Be Working On

Procurement Operations and Policy Support

1. Manage procurement operations, including reviewing procurement submissions, processing purchase requests, periodic checks on simple purchases and provide guidance to divisions on procurement-related matters to ensure compliance to the procurement policies and procedures.

2. Support policies and processes for improvement, including development of internal education materials to raise staff’s awareness on procurement guidelines.

3. Prepare periodic and ad-hoc report for internal and external reporting.

4. Support audit exercises (e.g., internal audit, financial audit)

5. Support projects and initiatives, such as maintenance of procurement bots, system migration activities.

What We Are Looking For

1. At least 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in procurement practices and processes, preferably in public agency

2. Knowledge of Government Instruction Manual on Procurement as well as GeBIZ system, Workday preferred

3. Proficient in MS Office tools and other IT/analytics tools (such as Tableau)

4. Good writing and communication skills

5. Organised, meticulous with good reasoning skills, and proactive in following up on matters to ensure timely resolution and adherence to deadlines

6. Able to work independently and collaboratively with team members and stakeholders, and commit to the full duration of the contract
