Responsibility :

Hands-on technician capable of setting up, installing, maintaining and troubleshooting the aquaponics infrastructure, with the ability to provide practical input on system layout and improvement.

1. Assist in setting up and modifying aquaponics systems, including piping, tanks, pumps, valves, filters and water circulation.

2. Install and maintain PVC/HDPE piping, fittings, pumps and related equipment.

3. Check water flow, leaks, pump operation, aeration and drainage.

4. Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance.

5. Troubleshoot basic mechanical/plumbing problems and recommend corrective actions.

6. Assist in planning piping routes and system layout for new or modified installations.

7. Maintain tools, equipment and work areas.

8. Record maintenance activities and report major equipment/system problems to supervisor.

9. Work together with aquaculture and agriculture operators to ensure proper fish–water–plant system balance.

Requirement :

1. Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Agriculture, Aquaculture or related field.

2. Practical experience in piping, plumbing, pump installation or farm/aquaponics system setup.

3. Able to use basic hand tools and measuring equipment.

4. Basic understanding of pumps, valves, piping and water flow.

5. Able to read simple drawings/layouts is an advantage.

6. Basic welding/fabrication skills are an advantage.

7. Willing to perform hands-on outdoor/farm work.

8. Able to troubleshoot problems with limited supervision.

9. Fresh graduates with relevant practical training may be considered.
