About the role
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Commis to support our Culinary, Bakery, and Pastry operations. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, baking, and pastry production while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety.
Key responsibilities
Assist chefs in the preparation, cooking, baking, and presentation of items.
Prepare ingredients according to established recipes and standards.
Support daily production requirements for bakery, pastry, and hot kitchen operations.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, storage areas, and kitchen equipment.
Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times.
Assist with stock replenishment, inventory rotation, and reporting low stock levels to supervisors.
Properly store and label ingredients, semi-finished products, and finished goods.
Participate in receiving and checking deliveries to ensure quality and accuracy.
Support opening and closing kitchen procedures, including setup and cleaning duties.
