Job Role: Functional Tester

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Type: 8 months contract based (Extendable/Renewable based on performance)

Working Mode: Hybrid - rotate WFH & WFO

Experience: 3+ years relevant testing experience and 2+ years directly relevant banking experience.

JOB PURPOSE

Functional tester for application testing, project testing and any other testing activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Develop test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for one or more test plans, including component, assembly, product, performance, user acceptance and technical architecture tests.
• Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures.
• Execute test scripts.
• Record problems and issues in accordance with the project's problem and issue management plans.
• Work with the application team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process.
• Participate in the release control process (when the application is transferred from the build
• team to the test team) to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
• Validate product fixes.
• Inform the test lead/test manager of any issues that may affect the schedule, budget, or quality of the product or the testing process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma with Computer/IT or related major.
• 3+ years relevant testing experience and 2+ years directly relevant banking experience.
• Manual Testing, Test Management, Agile Process, Banking (especially Internet Banking), Technical Testing knowledge. Ability to develop test conditions and expected results based on the application requirements.
• Experience in Jira, Confluence, MS Office, MySQL, MongoDB, mobile app knowledge.
• Familiar with Waterfall & Agile process.
• Strong attention to details - able to document and follow detailed instructions within test scripts as well as defects tracking documents (i.e., steps to recreate the problem).
• Understanding of testing concepts and how testing fits in with the overall project life cycle.
• Strong knowledge in Online Banking.
• Able to handle assignment independently with minimum supervision.
• Technical knowledge in banking applications.
• Must be familiar with Agile testing and DevOps methodologies.
