Job Description:
Lift Inspection, Maintenance & Repair
- Assist in the inspection, maintenance and repair of lift systems and related equipment.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures while performing maintenance work to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Assist in conducting safety inspections to ensure that all lift systems comply with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
- Assist in diagnosing lift system malfunctions, including mechanical, electrical and control system issues.
- Work under the guidance of senior engineers to solve complex problems and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and other team members to complete maintenance tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Technical Development & Training
- Participate in training programmes to improve technical knowledge of lift systems, including electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components.
- Gain knowledge in using lift maintenance management software, such as GOfm and CMMS, to update maintenance records, track repairs and manage service schedules.
- Develop technical skills through hands-on experience, internships, apprenticeships and academic projects related to lift systems or engineering.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs and parts replacements.
- Document service reports, including identification of faults, repairs performed and follow-up actions required.
- Use software tools for scheduling, maintenance tracking and reporting.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors and other team members regarding the status of lift systems and service requirements.
- Support the team in ensuring maintenance tasks and service requirements are completed efficiently.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related fields.
- Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
Experience
- Previous experience in a technical role, including internships, apprenticeships or academic projects related to lift systems or engineering, will be advantageous.
Specific Skills/Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical or control systems.
- Basic understanding of lift systems, electrical circuits and mechanical components.
- Ability to work with hand tools and basic mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with software tools for scheduling and reporting, such as CMMS, will be advantageous.
