Position Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and technical

ConsumerProducts Perfumer

to join our creative team in Singapore, with a strongfocus on

Fabric Care (Detergents and Fabric Softeners)

. In this role,you will combine creative olfactive design with robust technical expertise todevelop high-performing, cost-effective, and winning fragrance formulas. Youwill be responsible for navigating complex functional bases, ensuring excellentfragrance deposition and stability, and translating regional consumer trendsinto commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:
Fabric & Home Care Formulation:
Create and optimize innovative fragrance formulas specifically tailored for

liquid/powder detergents, fabric softeners, and other functional consumer products

.

Performance & Deposition Engineering:
Design fragrances optimized for key consumer touchpoints in laundry (neat product, wet laundry blooming, and long-lasting dry fabric retention).

Technical Troubleshooting:
Solve complex technical challenges including fragrance stability, discoloration, and chemical interactions within harsh surfactant or low-pH softener bases.

GCMS Interpretation & Adaptation:
Skillfully interpret analytical data (GCMS) to reconstruct, adapt, and cost-optimize winning market benchmarks for regional relevance.

Cross-Functional & Panel Validation:
Partner closely with the Evaluation and Applied Research departments to validate olfactive performance through sensory panels and stability testing protocols.

Client & Commercial Pitching:
Act as the technical and creative expert during client presentations, effectively demonstrating the olfactive and performance advantages of our fabric care technologies.

Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all formulas strictly comply with global regulatory frameworks (IFRA guidelines) and specific customer blacklists while managing raw material shortages.

Requirements & Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related scientific field.

Professional Training:
Graduate of a recognized, reputable perfumery school or a structured internal corporate perfumery program.

Experience:
5+ years of professional experience in fragrance creation, with a proven track record specifically in Fabric Care (Detergents/Softeners) or Personal Care applications.

Technical Skills:

• Exceptional olfactory acuity and deep understanding of raw materials (aroma chemicals, naturals, and functional bases).

Strong technical knowledge of

fragrance stability, volatility, and deposition behavior on fabric fibers

.

Proficient in using GCMS data for practical formula optimization and cost reduction.

Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical and creative decisions to corporate clients.

An agile, collaborative, and problem-solving mindset suited for a fast-paced corporate laboratory environment.
