Singapore | Full-time | Hybrid (4 days office, 1 day WFH)
At AVPD Studios, we deliver the technical backbone behind live and hybrid corporate experiences: conferences, roadshows, and activations. Our team works across video switching, LED content, livestream infrastructure, and on-site crew execution to make sure the show runs without a hiccup.
We are looking for an AVL Technical Manager who can own technical delivery end to end. Someone who is comfortable getting hands-on with the gear on smaller jobs and leading a full AV tech team on larger productions, all while keeping budget and vendor relationships tight.
This role sits closer to video, switching, and content than audio. If your background is in broadcast, livestream, or video production, this is built for you.
What You'll Own
Technical Delivery
Own AVL technical planning and execution across conferences, roadshows, and activations
Direct video switching and LED wall content deployment using vMix or TriCaster, and Resolume
Manage video infrastructure decisions: routing, hub, and distribution systems
Oversee livestream deployment for hybrid events, including encoding, routing, and backup feeds
Read and mark up technical drawings and floor plans, inlcuding pre-visualisation drafts, in Vectorworks or AutoCAD
Get hands-on with setup, operation, and strike on smaller jobs
Crew & Vendor Management
Work with Production Coordinators to track AV spend against budget per job
Flag cost and resourcing gaps early; balance crew and rental costs to protect margin
Liaise directly with clients and internal stakeholders on technical requirements and live troubleshooting
Manage timelines and deliverables across multiple concurrent jobs
Who Thrives in This Role
You'll likely:
Come from an audiovisual services, technical production, broadcast operations, or venue operations background
Have strong knowledge of professional AV systems and live event production processes
Are proficient in vMix or TriCaster and Resolume
Understand broadcast video infrastructure and signal routing
Can produce or read pre-visualisation drafts in Vectorworks or AutoCAD
Have experience managing AV vendors, production partners, and technical contractors
Bring proven project management and stakeholder management skills
Communicate clearly across crew, clients, and stakeholders
Are comfortable owning budget accountability alongside technical delivery
Are available for irregular hours, weekends, and physically demanding load-in/load-out work
Nice to have:
Familiarity with AnalogWay or Barco switchers
Experience in audio or lighting disciplines, in addition to video
Client-facing experience on live productions
Prior experience managing AV crew costing or job-level P&L
Mindset
Above all, we prioritise the right mindset and intention: someone who takes ownership, shows up with integrity, and genuinely cares about the craft and the team around them. Technical skill gets you in the door; attitude is what we build on.
Why Join AVPD Studios
We're a growing team within a fast-scaling business, which means real scope to shape how the technical department operates as we expand, not just execute someone else's playbook.
You will gain exposure to:
A high-volume portfolio of hybrid corporate conferences, roadshows, and activations
Direct ownership of technical standards across a growing crew and vendor network
The opportunity to build department processes from the ground up as the company scales
We also support our team through lifestyle benefits, basic health support, team recognition initiatives, and optional development pathways including our leadership track. If you want to own the technical side of live experiences and help build the systems behind them, we would love to hear from you.
