Job Responsibilities

• Manage mold maintenance and reliability to ensure tooling uptime and production continuity.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective mold maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mold issues and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Improve mold life, downtime, OEE, reliability, and performance.
• Monitor mold health, maintenance KPIs, and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate with suppliers, toolmakers, and internal teams for mold repair, modification, refurbishment, and validation.
• Lead mold/tooling design and development for new products and existing products.
• Support mold flow, DFM, tolerance analysis, and manufacturability reviews.
• Review tooling designs for quality, safety, maintenance, and productivity requirements.
• Select suitable tooling materials, coatings, and manufacturing methods.
• Conduct DFM, Design Review, FMEA, and risk assessments.
• Support mold trials, capability studies, validation, and production ramp-up.
• Drive continuous improvement in mold performance, process stability, yield, productivity, and quality.
• Use Lean, Six Sigma, and scientific molding principles to reduce variation and improve process capability.
• Lead CAPA activities related to tooling and molding processes.
• Improve preventive maintenance schedules, workflows, and tooling management systems.
• Support automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Establish tooling maintenance standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to toolmakers and technical personnel.
• Lead cost-saving projects (CSP) related to tooling and manufacturing.
• Maintain tooling documentation, drawings, maintenance records, validation reports, and KPIs.
• Support internal and external audits related to tooling and manufacturing.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant manufacturing experience in:
• Tooling Engineering
• Mold Engineering
• Process Engineering
• Tool Room Operations
• Hands-on experience in plastic injection molding and/or die casting.
• Experience in mold maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience leading or coordinating toolmakers/technical personnel is an advantage.
• Knowledge of scientific molding and process validation is preferred.
• Good understanding of plastic resins, die-casting materials, and processing characteristics.
• Strong knowledge of mold construction, tooling components, and maintenance practices.
• Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, RCA, and Continuous Improvement.
• Knowledge of DFM, FMEA, and process capability is an advantage.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, tooling specifications, and technical documents.
• Experience with CAD software and tooling design review is an advantage.

Pay: RM3,600.00 - RM4,600.00 per month
