Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the engineering performance, process capability, and technical integrity of an assigned production cell. The role ensures manufacturing processes remain safe, compliant, efficient, and capable of supporting operational objectives. Acting as the primary engineering interface to Operations, the Manufacturing Engineer provides technical support for manufacturing methods, tooling, process improvements, and production challenges while driving continuous improvements in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and productivity.

Job Responsibilities

Operational Assurance

• Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing methods, work instructions, and process standards for the assigned production cell.
• Ensure technical documentation, tooling, and manufacturing systems remain current, compliant, and audit-ready.
• Conduct and maintain engineering assurance activities, including technical publication reviews, process validation, PFMEA, MSA, FAIR/FAI, and audit requirements.
• Provide timely engineering support to resolve manufacturing and process-related issues encountered by Operations and technicians.
• Lead and support investigations arising from quality concerns, defects, engine investigations, and operational requests, utilizing structured root-cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Assess manufacturing risks and provide sound technical recommendations, escalating issues when necessary.
• Ensure all process changes are properly evaluated, validated, documented, and controlled before implementation.
  
  

Operational Performance

• Own and drive the engineering improvement roadmap for the assigned production cell.
• Identify and implement initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, throughput, and operational efficiency.
• Lead continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen events, Gemba walks, PFMEA reviews, and structured problem-solving initiatives.
• Optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, layouts, and work methods to improve workflow and technician effectiveness.
• Analyze production data to identify recurring issues and implement sustainable improvements.
• Take a holistic approach to process improvements by considering impacts across the entire value stream.
  
  

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Operations, Quality, Planning, and other support functions to ensure effective execution of manufacturing activities.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day engineering support for the assigned production cell.
• Communicate technical issues and recommendations clearly, focusing on operational impact, risk assessment, and proposed solutions.
• Support broader Manufacturing Engineering and Operations initiatives as required.
  
  

Qualification / Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Candidates with a relevant Diploma and significant industry experience will also be considered.
• Experience in an aerospace MRO or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering-related digital tools.
• Technology-savvy with a willingness to learn, adopt, and explore new systems and platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
