System Operator – MY Only

Job Overview

We are looking for a System Operator to support daily IT system operations and ensure the smooth and reliable running of critical systems. The role involves monitoring systems, handling operational tasks, troubleshooting issues and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate IT systems and applications to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform system monitoring, incident handling and operational support.
• Support systems running on AS/400, Control-M, Microsoft Azure and AWS Cloud environments.
• Perform scheduled jobs, batch processing and operational tasks according to procedures.
• Identify and escalate system issues to the relevant technical teams when required.
• Support project-related tasks and operational activities in an organised manner.
• Maintain proper records and documentation of incidents and operational activities.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external customers.
• Follow IT operational procedures, service standards and security requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in IT/system operations or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with AS/400 and Control-M.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS Cloud.
• ITIL V3 Foundation certification is an added advantage.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proactive, responsible and collaborative attitude.
• Able to work independently and handle operational tasks in an organised manner.

Working Schedule

• 7×24 shift operation is required.
• 12-hour shifts, 4 days on followed by 4 days off.
• The schedule includes weekends and public holidays.
• This is a fully on-site position.
