Job Overview:

As a Slitting Machine Operator in a copper foil production environment, you will be responsible to set up, operate, and maintain precision slitting equipment used to convert large copper foil rolls into narrower widths.

Your role ensures that the final product meets strict dimensional and surface quality standards required for applications such as printed circuit boards and lithium-ion batteries.

• Set up and operate slitting machines to cut large rolls of copper foil into narrower widths according to specifications.

• Adjust blade spacing, tension, and speed to ensure precise slitting and minimal material waste.

• Monitor machine performance and inspect foil for defects such as wrinkles, tears, or uneven edges.

• Perform routine maintenance on slitting equipment, including blade replacement and lubrication.

• Document production data, including roll dimensions, lot numbers, and quality checks.

• Collaborate with quality control and warehouse teams to ensure proper labeling and packaging of finished rolls.

• Follow safety protocols when handling sharp tools, rotating machinery, and conductive materials.
  

Job Requirements:

• Technical certificate or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.

• Experience operating slitting, rewinding, or converting machines preferred.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Able to read technical drawings and measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).

• Familiar with cleanroom protocols and ESD safety is a plus.

• Good command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Able to speak fluently in Korean is an added advantage.

• Possess forklift license is preferred.
