Role Description

The Information Technology Auditor is a full-time, on-site role based in Q Sentral, Kuala Lumpur. This role involves planning and performing IT audits across systems, applications, infrastructure, and processes to assess the effectiveness of IT controls and compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The IT Auditor will review information security practices, evaluate risks, test controls, and document findings, working closely with IT and business stakeholders to recommend practical improvements. Day-to-day tasks include preparing audit work programs, analyzing data, drafting clear audit reports, following up on remediation actions, and supporting the enhancement of the company’s IT governance framework. The role also contributes to continuous improvement by monitoring emerging technologies, cyber risks, and best practices relevant to the insurance industry.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong IT Audit and IT Controls skills for evaluating systems, processes, and risk management practices.
• Candidates should possess solid Information Technology knowledge for understanding infrastructure, applications, and IT operations.
• Candidates should possess Information Security skills for assessing security controls, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting data, identifying control gaps, and proposing practical solutions.
• Relevant academic qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are an advantage.
• Experience in IT auditing, risk management, or IT governance, preferably within financial services or insurance.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
