Role Descr</strong>iption The Sr. Cloud Support Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for providing advanced technical support for cloud-based infrastructures, diagnosing and resolving complex incidents, and ensuring high availability and performance across customer environments. The Sr. Cloud Support Engineer will manage and administer cloud systems, monitor services and security posture, and collaborate with engineering teams to prevent issues and improve reliability. Daily activities include handling escalations, performing root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and creating documentation and runbooks to guide operational best practices. The role also involves partnering with clients across APAC, supporting modern AI workloads, and contributing to continuous improvement of support processes and tooling.

Qualifications
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills to diagnose, triage, and resolve complex cloud and infrastructure issues.
  • Overall 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with system administration, including managing Linux/Windows servers, virtualization, and cloud-native services.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies, such as TCP/IP, VPNs, routing, and load balancing.
  • Understanding of network security practices, including firewalls, IAM, encryption, and compliance-oriented configurations.
  • Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with tools like Databricks, Kafka/Confluent, or similar data platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting or automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Ability to work on-site in WP. Kuala Lumpur and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and client-facing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in supporting enterprise environments or AI/ML workloads is an advantage.
  • Malaysian locals and PRs only as this is for a public sector client project
