About the role
We are looking for a Powertrain Systems Engineer to provide technical expertise and customer support across electric motor and powertrain applications. You will work closely with customers and R&D teams on motor design, FOC control, NVH, system integration, testing and troubleshooting, supporting projects from development through mass production.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the technical interface for powertrain systems and provide technical support to customers on powertrain-related matters, including but not limited to: (1) Motor design and development, (2) Motor control algorithms, (3) NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) analysis and troubleshooting, (4) Powertrain system matching, integration and application.
- Respond promptly to customer technical issues, conduct problem analysis and drive issues to closure by coordinating with the R&D team in China.
- Participate in technical discussions with customers and support project development, testing and validation, and mass-production introduction.
- Gather customer requirements and industry insights, and drive product optimization and technical improvements.
- Support overseas project delivery, including technical documentation and communication, testing support, issue reproduction and on-site commissioning/debugging.
About you
- Master’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation, Electric Drives, or a related discipline.
- 3 years of relevant experience in powertrain systems.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetic motor design principles and familiarity with the design and development processes of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM), induction motors, and related motor technologies.
- Familiar with motor control algorithms such as Field-Oriented Control (FOC).
- Experience in NVH analysis, with an understanding of electromagnetic noise, structural vibration and relevant optimization methods.
- Familiar with motor structures, motor-related materials, and motor manufacturing and assembly processes.
Pay: $6,000.00 - $8,500.00 per month

- Systems engineering: 7 years (Preferred)
