A global Tier-1 Reinsurer is seeking a Technical Accountant to manage a portfolio of insurance and reinsurance accounts. The role will be responsible for contract administration, premium and claims accounting, cash settlements, reconciliations, and stakeholder management across underwriting, claims, and finance teams.

This role is open to facultative or treaty technical accountants looking to gain further experience in Retrocession.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting and administration of insurance and reinsurance contracts.
• Process premium, claims, and settlement transactions accurately and timely.
• Review contractual terms and maintain accurate records within internal systems.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform reconciliations, cashflow monitoring, and balance management.
• Support reporting, audits, and internal control requirements.
• Provide portfolio analysis and operational support to the wider business.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

• Experienced in reinsurance technical accounting
