We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to design, develop, implement, and maintain web applications supporting the Life Insurance business unit.

You will join an Agile development team responsible for building new applications and enhancing existing systems to meet evolving business and customer requirements. The role will focus on developing scalable and secure applications using .NET technologies, with opportunities to contribute to technical design and architectural decisions.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a Scrum/Lean Agile environment and contributing beyond traditional development responsibilities by proposing creative and effective technical solutions to business problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using .NET / .NET Core.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture activities, evaluating design alternatives and their technical implications.
• Develop scalable and maintainable applications using Microservices Architecture and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Design and develop secure, high-performance Web APIs and RESTful services.
• Apply software engineering principles and design patterns, including SOLID, Gang of Four (GoF), Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Clean Architecture.
• Develop applications within enterprise infrastructure environments and ensure compatibility with existing systems and platforms.
• Work with containerisation technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Design and document application architecture and technical flows using UML and/or Sequence Diagrams.
• Implement appropriate data persistence solutions using ORM, Entity Framework (EF), SQL, or NoSQL technologies.
• Apply Secure Coding Practices, including OWASP principles, throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, QA teams, and other technical teams.
• Work within Scrum/Lean Agile methodologies, actively contributing to sprint planning, development, reviews, retrospectives, and technical solution discussions.
• Identify technical risks and develop creative, scalable solutions to address business requirements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of application performance, reliability, maintainability, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in .NET / .NET Core application development.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, application architecture, and enterprise systems.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team.

Technical Requirements
