Job Overview

We are looking for a Rust Full-Stack Software Developer to join our software engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Rust backend development and modern web application development.

The candidate will work on scalable enterprise applications, REST APIs, database-driven features, integrations, testing, and cloud/containerized development environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using Rust.
• Build backend services and APIs using Axum, Actix, Tokio, or similar Rust frameworks.
• Develop responsive frontend interfaces using Leptos, Yew, Dioxus, or comparable technologies.
• Work with WebAssembly (WASM), SSR, and client-side hydration.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Develop database schemas, SQL queries, and migrations using PostgreSQL.
• Implement application features involving authentication, authorization, RBAC, audit logging, and background jobs.
• Work with OAuth, webhooks, and external service integrations.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Use Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Podman, and modern development practices.
• Implement application monitoring, structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, database, API, and frontend issues.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of hands-on production experience with Rust.
• Strong understanding of Rust fundamentals, including:

• Experience with at least one Rust web framework:
• Axum
• Actix
• Leptos
• Yew
• Dioxus
• Good understanding of REST APIs and backend development.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD.
• Knowledge of Docker/Podman and containerized development.
• Understanding of unit and integration testing.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Leptos and WASM.
• Experience with SSR and hydration.
• Hands-on experience with Axum/Tokio.
• Knowledge of sqlx and PostgreSQL migrations.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Loki, or Tempo.
• Experience with Playwright for end-to-end testing.
• Knowledge of OAuth, webhooks, digital signatures, or third-party API integrations.
• Experience in fintech, e-invoicing, payment, or enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions/Gitea Actions or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or other AI-assisted development tools.
• Knowledge of MCP concepts is an added advantage.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
