Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the Theatrical team to operate at Y Theatre, Y Studio, Dance Studio and other venues such as multi-purpose rooms with a view of ensuring the set-up, rigging, rehearsal, performance and strike-out are carried out smoothly and safely.
• Provide professional technical services and support to hirers/users in the setting up and operation of audio, lighting, theatrical & stage systems/equipment, and procurement of equipment/ systems. Acting as duty theatrical technician when necessary.
• Supervise and conduct regular inspection of venue facilities, equipment and furniture also before and upon functions ends.
• Ensure all technical systems including but not limited to audio, lighting, rigging, and staging which operate safely and compile with company policy and statutory regulations.
• Plan and manage duty roster to ensure daily manpower deployment including in-house staff and casual labour.
• Monitor and feedback for vendor’s performance continuously includes but not limited to casual labour and technical maintenance.
• Monitor and enhance timely of venue/ technical requirement maintenance schedule and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Manage and solve any emergency incidents timely on stage, develop and enhance the procedure to prevent incidents in future.
• Prepare various reports and analysis for management reviews such as venue usage, revenue and traffic records etc.

Requirements

• Degree in Theatre and Entertainment Arts or related disciplines, graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts is preferred.
• At least 8 years of related experience in sizable performing arts venues or companies and supervisory experience is a must.
• Hands-on experience in Stage & Rigging, Lighting, Audio or AV-IT systems.
• High proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua is prerequisite.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office is prerequisite.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Independent, highly organized and hard working.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD drawing is also an added advantage.
• Required to work on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday and on shift duty and irregular hours.
