JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement the company’s overall business strategy, operational plans and commercial objectives.
• Lead the wholesale, import,export and distribution of agricultural, construction and other machinery,equipment, spare parts and related supplies.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, customer accounts, distributorships and strategic partnerships in Singapore, Australia, and overseas markets.
• Establish and maintain business relationships with machinery manufacturers, suppliers, distributors,contractors, equipment dealers and corporate customers.
• Source suitable machinery,equipment and spare parts based on market demand and customers’ operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers and business contacts in the Australian market to support the company’s sales and market expansion objectives.
• Evaluate products, suppliers,pricing, delivery schedules, warranties and commercial terms before making procurement decisions.
• Negotiate supply agreements,distributorship arrangements, purchase contracts and major customer orders.
• Oversee the company’s procurement, order fulfillment, inventory planning, logistics, delivery and after-sales support activities.
• Develop pricing strategies and prepare commercial proposals, quotations and tender submissions.
• Monitor market developments,customer demand, competitor activities and industry trends relating to machinery and equipment.
• Manage the company’s sales targets, budgets, operating expenses, cash flow and overall financial performance.
• Review management accounts,sales reports, forecasts and other performance indicators to support business decisions.
• Ensure that appropriate internal procedures and controls are implemented for purchasing, sales,inventory, credit management and contract administration.
• Recruit, manage and provide direction to the company’s sales, operations, administrative and technical personnel.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Singapore laws, import and export requirements, workplace safety standards and relevant industry regulations.
• Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with customers, suppliers, financial institutions,government agencies and other stakeholders.
• Provide regular business and financial performance reports to the shareholders and undertake other duties required for the effective management of the company.
• Strong knowledge and relevant business experience in the Australian market, particularly in the machinery, equipment, construction, agricultural, industrial, or related sectors.
• Established business network in Australia, with proven ability to identify and develop potential customers, business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong understanding of machinery and equipment sourcing, wholesale trading, import and export procedures, distribution and supply chain operations.
• Proven experience in business development, sales management, commercial negotiations and market expansion.
• Experience managing relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, contractors and corporate customers.
• Good understanding of budgeting, financial management, pricing, inventory control and profit-and-loss accountability.
• Strong leadership, commercial judgment, negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Able to manage multiple business functions and make sound decisions in a fast-paced commercial environment.
• Willing to travel when required for business meetings, customer visits, supplier negotiations and industry events.
