Responsibilities
- Assist and report to the Project Manager, overseeing the execution of structural works to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Lead the production, review, and timely submission of Structural Coordinated Drawings (Concrete Body Plan), materials, and method statements according to the master programme.
- Review contract drawings, identify discrepancies, and raise RFIs where necessary.
- Coordinate and resolve structural-related issues with clients, consultants, authorities, and subcontractors.
- Attend weekly and monthly project meetings with consultants and clients to provide progress updates.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues arising from discrepancies and site conditions.
- Review and verify structural material samples and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements and accuracy across trades.
- Manage submission processes, including coordination with consultants, clients, and Document Controller on approvals, RFIs, and documentation.
- Ensure proper structural and multidisciplinary design coordination, including architectural interfaces where applicable.
- Implement sustainable engineering practices in accordance with project and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain effective communication and coordination among all project stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit required documents to regulatory authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Project Manager or management.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the supervision of civil and structural works, preferably in large-scale transit or infrastructure projects.
- Candidates with LTA project experience will be given preference.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of structural drawings, specifications, regulatory codes, and industry standards.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant structural or coordination software.
- Good understanding of construction processes and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Able to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines.
