Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs, and events to identify potential threats.
  • Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities.
  • Assist with security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Implement and maintain security controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct security assessments of systems, networks, and applications.
  • Analyze indicators of compromise (IOCs) and potential security threats.
  • Work with IT and engineering teams to identify and resolve security issues.
  • Support security audits, compliance requirements, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare security reports and document incidents, findings, and remediation activities.
  • Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.


Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and security principles.
  • Knowledge of network security, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or similar.
  • Understanding of common security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Basic understanding of Windows and Linux security.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+, CISSP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanners, or cloud security platforms.
  • Experience with incident response and threat hunting.
  • Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud security environments.
  • Basic scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
