Job Scope Summary:

As a Technician in a hotel, your main responsibility is to ensure all equipment, facilities, and structures are well-maintained and in excellent working condition. You will perform routine maintenance, repair faulty equipment, and handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, plastering, and carpentry work. The role requires strong organizational skills, independence, and attention to detail to minimize downtime. You are also responsible for completing maintenance work orders promptly in accordance with hotel procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond and attend to guest repair request.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guest according to company standards, anticipate and address guests.
• Ability to interpret readings from metes & gauges and other measuring units.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignment.
• Ability to work under pressure situations and exercise good judgment.
• Ability to focus attention on details, speed and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of hotel guest and pertinent hotel information.
• Ability to ensure security of guest room access and hotel property.
• Perform maintenance activities in the guest room like plunging toilets, unclogging drains and repairing types of hardware and electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners /HVAC and AC ducts.
• Perform maintenance activities in hotel public areas like plunging toilets, unclogging drains and repairing all types of hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment and cosmetic items.
• Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Test troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment in the hotel.
• To operate as an independent mechanic by analyzing problems identifying courses of action and implementing solution with available resources and to a high degree of quality.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Director of engineering, Chief engineer, Senior Duty engineer, Duty engineer or Supervisor.
