Are you passionate about food science and product innovation? Uno Nutrition is a nutraceutical OEM company looking for a curious and hands-on Food Technologist to join our Innovation team. You will be involved in the full product development journey, from formulation proposal all the way through to commercialisation.

What you'll do

• Develop product formulations based on customer or internal requests, balancing taste, cost, and stability from initial trial through to commercialisation.
• Conduct formulation testing and validation, including changes to raw material sources, to ensure product consistency and quality.
• Prepare nutrition information, product specifications and artwork inputs for review, including ingredient declarations and claims. Review product artwork for compliance with food regulations.
• Source, compare and evaluate new ingredients and alternative raw materials to support R&D activities and supply continuity
• Liaise with customers, material suppliers, and work with internal departments including Production, QA/QC, and Business to support smooth product development and commercialisation.
• Prepare and maintain accurate R&D documents and records, including formula versions, calculations, sample records and test results, to support product development, ISO 9001 requirements and audit preparation.
• Assist in cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations to support pricing decisions.
• Provide timely updates on project progress and issues, and share knowledge with colleagues to support teamwork and problem solving.

Who we're looking for

• Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Applied Science, Nutrition, or a related discipline.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Good knowledge or understanding of Malaysian Food Regulations, CODEX requirements, or other relevant food labelling standards.
• Hands-on experience or strong interest in product formulation and laboratory work, with a practical approach to testing and problem solving.
• Clear communication and good interpersonal skills, with confidence in liaising with customers and suppliers and a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
• Detail-oriented and organised, with care in calculations, units, samples and records, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Able to work independently and take the initiative to seek clarification when needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,600.00 per month
