Job Description

We are looking for a Drafter to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings for aluminium windows, doors, glass works, shopfronts, curtain walls and other architectural works.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings and installation drawings for aluminium, glass, windows and doors.
• Prepare detailed drawings based on architectural drawings, site measurements and project requirements.
• Produce accurate AutoCAD drawings and revise drawings according to project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, contractors, suppliers and clients.
• Check dimensions, specifications and drawing details before submission or fabrication.
• Prepare as-built drawings when required.
• Assist with material take-off and preparation of drawing-related documentation.
• Attend site when necessary to take measurements and verify existing conditions.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and relevant Singapore construction requirements.
• Perform other drafting and technical duties assigned by the management.

Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate in Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, Building, Drafting or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in aluminium, glass, windows, doors, curtain wall or façade works is an advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Able to read and understand architectural and construction drawings.
• Good understanding of dimensions, materials and construction details.
• Able to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
