What The Day Will Look Like

The Assistant Vice President - Portfolio & Client Service will act as the portfolio control tower for complex major-client programmes, ensuring renewals, transitions, deliverables, actions and deadlines are visible, owned and actively managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a reliable master view of complex insurance and reinsurance portfolios.
  • Develop and manage transition, renewal and key-deliverable calendars.
  • Track programme milestones, dependencies, outstanding information, actions and deadlines.
  • Coordinate data and documentation requirements between clients, brokers and specialist teams.
  • Develop dashboards, RAG reporting, action trackers and governance updates.
  • Coordinate activities across Technical Broking, Operations, Strategic Account Management and regional and global teams.
  • Monitor service standards and proactively identify programmes at risk of delay.
  • Support day-to-day client servicing and ensure clear, timely communication.
  • Drive follow-up, escalation and closure of outstanding actions.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • Strong experience in complex account servicing, portfolio or programme management, insurance, reinsurance or another relevant controlled environment.
  • Exceptional organisation, prioritisation and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines and dependencies.
  • Strong client-service, communication and stakeholder-coordination skills.
  • Comfort working with data, dashboards and management reporting.
  • Insurance or reinsurance experience is preferred; Energy and Oil & Gas experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Candidates with strong transferable capabilities and the ability to rapidly develop Energy insurance knowledge will be considered.
  • Ability to identify delivery risks early and drive timely follow-up and escalation.
