Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Developer – Frontend (Web & Mobile) to join our Group Technology – Business Application Transformation team.

The role focuses on designing and developing high-performance digital solutions across web and mobile platforms (iOS & Android), supporting CIMB’s next-generation digital banking applications. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in React Native, frontend development, mobile application development, and digital product delivery.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including architects, backend developers, QA, business stakeholders, and project teams to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly digital banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, pixel-perfect user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Build and maintain mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms using React Native.
• Integrate applications with APIs and backend services.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve application performance issues.
• Perform code reviews, write automated tests, and maintain high-quality code standards.
• Support end-to-end testing activities including SIT, UAT, regression testing, VAPT, performance testing, and production deployment.
• Prepare technical documentation and support production handover activities.
• Plan and support application releases according to project timelines.
• Collaborate with architecture and infrastructure teams to ensure stable deployment environments.
• Monitor and resolve technical issues, defects, and production incidents.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, SDLC processes, and governance policies.
• Provide regular updates on development progress, risks, and technical issues to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in mobile application development within commercial, service-based, banking, or financial technology environments.
• Strong experience building digital solutions, preferably within digital banking, eCommerce, or large-scale consumer applications.
• Strong understanding of frontend technologies and mobile development frameworks.
• Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborative, cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong experience in React Native / Mobile Application Development.

Good understanding of:

• iOS SDK and Android SDK
• Angular 2+ / TypeScript
• HTML5 / CSS
• Java / J2EE
• RESTful APIs, Web Services, JSON
• Object-Oriented Programming concepts
• Relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, DB2)

Experience with:

• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
• Automated testing frameworks (e.g., JMeter, TOSCA)
• Microservices and Kubernetes (added advantage)
• Mobile development frameworks such as MFP (added advantage)

Preferred Experience

• Experience developing digital banking applications or financial platforms.
• Strong understanding of digital banking UX and customer-facing applications.

Experience handling enterprise-level application development and production support.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
