Key Responsibilities


  • Cloud Strategy & Architecture Design: Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS. Define architectural blueprints, reference architectures, and standards for cloud-native applications.
  • Migration & Modernization: Lead the assessment, planning, and execution of legacy application migrations to AWS, utilizing containerization (ECS/EKS), serverless technologies, and microservices architecture.
  • Security, Compliance & Governance: Implement robust security best practices using AWS IAM, KMS, Security Hub, and GuardDuty. Ensure adherence to industry compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO, HIPAA, or financial regulations).
  • Network & Infrastructure Engineering: Architect enterprise-grade AWS networking topologies, including multi-account strategies (AWS Organizations/Control Tower), VPC design, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Cost Optimization & FinOps: Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud infrastructure costs. Implement resource rightsizing, reserved instances, savings plans, and automated lifecycle policies.
  • Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with product managers, security teams, software engineers, and executive leadership to align cloud strategy with business objectives. Mentor engineering teams and conduct architectural reviews.


Required Skills & Qualifications


  • Experience: 8+ years of total IT experience, with at least 4+ years dedicated to designing and implementing cloud architectures on AWS.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (highly preferred).
  • Core AWS Knowledge: Deep, hands-on expertise across a broad range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Aurora, IAM, Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudFront, Route 53, CloudWatch).
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Extensive experience with automation and IaC tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Containers & Orchestration: Proven experience designing containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), or OpenShift.
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and release automation strategies.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management, technical presentation skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
