Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Metal working machine tool setters and operators set and/or operate various machine tools, working to fine tolerances.

• Setting one or more types of machine tool for production of metal articles in standardized series.

• Operating and monitoring metal working machines such as lathes, milling, planning, boring, drilling, grinding or honing machines, including multipurpose numerically controlled metal working machines.

• Observing machine operations to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions and adjusting machines as necessary.

• Inspecting work pieces for defects, and measuring work pieces to determine accuracy of machine operation, using rules, templates or other measuring instruments.

• Changing worn machine accessories such as cutting tools and brushes, using hand tools.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Able to work independently

• Able to read engineering drawings.

• Able to speak and write simple English

• Able to read and interpret SOP and Work Instructions.

• Team player with good problem-solving skills

• Basic computer literacy

Educational/Certification Requirement:

• At least technical or mechanical certificate preferred.

• Must be willing to work with safety helmet and safety shoes.

• Must be willing to work shift work and OT if required

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

• 2-3 years working in machine shop, metal industry. Semi-Conductor and/or similar industry

• Required to wear personal protective equipment

• Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals and debris.

• Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.

Overnight Travel:

• Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).
