Position Overview
The AI &Digital Transformation
Lead will spearhead the Company's enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, and Digital Transformation initiatives, driving the adoption of AI technologies across maritime operations, fleet management, ERP systems, and corporate functions.
The incumbent will define the organisation's AI strategy, architecture, governance, and technology roadmap while leading the design, development, deployment, and continuous optimisation of enterprise AI platforms and intelligent business solutions. This role requires close collaboration with senior management, operational departments, technical stakeholders, and external technology partners to deliver secure, scalable, and business-driven AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. AI Strategy, Architecture & Governance
Define and lead the enterprise AI strategy, architecture, governance framework, technology roadmap, responsible AI practices, and digital transformation initiatives aligned with business objectives.
2. Enterprise AI Solution Design & Integration
Architect and deliver scalable AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, automation, and analytics solutions integrated with ERP systems, maritime applications, IoT platforms, enterprise systems, and external data sources by prioritizing AI use cases across Marine, Technical, Crewing, HSEQ, Finance, Procurement, HR, Legal and Ship IT.
3. AI Platform, Data Engineering & Analytics
Establish enterprise AI platforms, data architecture, governance, data pipelines, business intelligence, reporting, dashboards, and enterprise knowledge management to enable data-driven decision-making.
4. AI/ML, Generative AI & LLMOps
Lead the development, deployment, optimisation, and lifecycle management of AI/ML models, LLMs, RAG, AI Copilots, intelligent agents, predictive analytics, NLP, and enterprise AI applications.
5. Technology, Security & Compliance
Evaluate emerging AI technologies and vendors while ensuring cybersecurity, data privacy, regulatory compliance, Responsible AI governance, and enterprise architecture standards.
6. Leadership, Stakeholder Management & Delivery
Build and lead the AI engineering function, mentor technical teams, manage technology partners, and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver high-impact AI and digital transformation initiatives.
7. Innovation & Change Management
Drive AI innovation, enterprise adoption, operational excellence, user enablement, and continuous improvement to enhance business performance and organisational capability.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Minimum10 years of experience in enterprise software development, AI, Machine Learning, or digital transformation.
At least 5 years in a technical leadership, AI Architect, Principal Engineer, or AI Lead capacity.
Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise AI solutions in large organisations.
Experience delivering Generative AI, LLM, RAG, Agentic AI, or enterprise AI platforms in production environments.
Experience integrating AI solutions with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, IFS, or maritime ERP platforms.
Experience within the maritime, shipping, offshore, logistics, engineering, energy, or asset-intensive industries will be highly advantageous.
