Responsibilities:
Purchase Order & Delivery Management
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Conduct supplier follow-ups and expediting to ensure materials are delivered according to agreed schedules.
- Track material readiness and coordinate with relevant departments to prevent material shortages or project delays.
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
- Maintain good working relationships with existing suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, responsiveness, and on-time supply.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance in areas such as delivery, quality, cost, and service.
- Follow up with suppliers on performance gaps and drive necessary corrective and improvement actions.
Supplier Quality & Development
- Ensure purchased materials meet engineering specifications and required quality standards.
- Coordinate with QA and Engineering to resolve non-conforming materials and supplier-related quality issues.
- Drive and execute supplier improvement and development programs to improve supplier capability and performance.
Cross-Functional Material Coordination
- Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Production, Planning, and Project teams to understand material requirements based on customer requirements, project plans, and schedules.
- Coordinate purchasing activities and material priorities in accordance with operational and project requirements.
Procurement Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze purchasing data and procurement KPIs to improve procurement efficiency, shorten lead times and PR-to-PO cycle time, and improve supplier on-time delivery and quality performance.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve purchasing processes and overall supply chain performance.
- Documentation, Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and complete procurement documentation in compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable ISO requirements.
- Perform data collection and analysis, and prepare procurement reports for management review.
Requirements:
- Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management, preferably within the automation, machinery, or equipment supply industries, will be an added advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and service manuals will be an added advantage.
- Good team player with the ability to work effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
