Job description
The BIM Coordinator / BIM Modeller is responsible for the development, coordination, and management of Building Information Modelling (BIM) deliverables for Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) systems. The role ensures the accurate production and integration of BIM models in compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. Working closely with project teams, consultants, and contractors, the incumbent will support design coordination, clash detection, construction planning, and digital project delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain M&E BIM models and construction drawings using Autodesk Revit.
Prepare and update coordinated 2D shop drawings, 3D models, and as-built drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform BIM coordination and clash detection, working closely with consultants, contractors, and project teams to resolve design conflicts.
Ensure BIM models comply with project requirements, company BIM standards, and client specifications.
Conduct model reviews, updates, and quality checks to maintain accuracy and data integrity.
Support BIM documentation, submissions, and project records, coordinating with the Document Controller for proper data management.
Participate in coordination meetings and provide BIM technical support to facilitate successful project delivery.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a BIM Modeller and 2 years of experience as a BIM Coordinator within the Singapore construction industry.
Proficient in Autodesk Revit MEP and Navisworks.
Relevant BIM certification in Revit MEP and/or BIM coordination will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of M&E systems, BIM workflows, construction methodologies, and coordination processes.
Experience in large-scale construction projects and BIM implementation from tender stage through project completion will be highly advantageous.
Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently under tight project timelines.
Willing to work a 5.5-day work week (alternate Saturdays).
