Job Overview
The Heavy Reach Stacker Operator operates specialized heavy-lifting machinery to load, unload, stack, and transport Containers and ISO-Tanks efficiently. The role requires strict adherence to workplace safety regulations and close coordination with yard controller and drivers.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation:
Operate the heavy reach stacker safely and efficiently to lift, stack, shift, load, and unload Containers and ISO-Tanks in designated storage areas.
Pre-Operation Checks:
Conduct mandatory daily pre-start inspections and routine checks on the machine, reporting any faults, damage, or safety hazards immediately.
Cargo Inspection:
Perform visual checks on containers for damage, leaks, or discrepancies, and log inventory movements accurately.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow all company protocols, MOM Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) guidelines, and traffic rules within the yard.
Team Communication:
Communicate clearly with traffic controllers, logistics personnel, and truck drivers to maintain a smooth flow of operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Certification:
Valid heavy forklift license, crane/lifting gear certification, or specialized reach stacker operator license.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating heavy reach stackers, heavy forklifts, or similar container-handling machinery.
Education:
Minimum GCE N-Level or equivalent basic education.
Physical Fitness:
Able to work in demanding outdoor environments and weather conditions.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays when required.
