Learning Experience Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a Learning Experience Designer to create engaging, effective, and learner-focused training experiences. The role will involve working with subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and learning teams to design learning solutions that support organisational goals and employee development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design engaging learning experiences for classroom, virtual, blended, and digital learning environments.
• Analyse learning needs, target audiences, performance gaps, and business objectives.
• Develop learning objectives, course structures, lesson plans, activities, assessments, and supporting materials.
• Apply instructional design principles and adult learning approaches to learning solutions.
• Create storyboards, facilitator guides, learner guides, presentations, e-learning content, and other learning resources.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex information into clear and practical learning content.
• Work with multimedia and technology teams to develop interactive digital learning experiences.
• Review and improve learning programmes based on learner feedback, assessment results, and programme data.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure learning content is accurate, accessible, consistent, and aligned with objectives.
• Manage multiple learning projects, timelines, and deliverables.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and version control for learning materials.
• Stay informed about developments in instructional design, learning technology, and workplace learning.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning and Development, Psychology, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in learning experience design, instructional design, curriculum development, training, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning concepts.
• Strong writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Experience developing learning materials for digital, classroom, or blended learning environments.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or equivalent productivity tools.
• Experience with learning management systems or e-learning authoring tools is an advantage.
• A portfolio or examples of relevant learning design work are welcome.
