Smart Education Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a passionate and responsible Part-Time Maths Tutor to join our growing education network.

The successful candidate will provide quality Mathematics lessons to students and help them improve their mathematical knowledge, problem-solving skills, calculation accuracy, logical thinking and confidence.

This is a flexible, hourly-paid tutoring opportunity suitable for tutors who are looking for part-time or freelance teaching work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Mathematics tuition classes for students according to their learning level.
• Prepare and deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons.
• Teach mathematical concepts, formulas, calculations and problem-solving techniques.
• Help students develop logical, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Adapt teaching methods according to individual student needs.
• Assist students with homework, assignments, revision and examination preparation.
• Maintain a professional and positive learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with students and parents when required.
• Follow the lesson schedule and attend classes punctually.
• Provide basic progress updates when requested.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Mathematics and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly.
• Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred.
• Degree, diploma, teaching qualification or relevant academic background is an advantage.
• Able to teach Mathematics patiently and effectively.
• Responsible, punctual and professional.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable teaching students of different ages and learning levels.
• Able to commit to agreed teaching schedules.
• Malaysian candidates and qualified international candidates currently residing in Malaysia are welcome to apply.

Teaching Levels

Depending on your experience and subject knowledge, you may be assigned students from:

• Primary School
• Lower Secondary
• Upper Secondary
• IGCSE
• International School
• Other Mathematics learners

Work Arrangement

• Part-Time / Freelance
• Online and/or Home Tuition opportunities
• Flexible teaching schedule
• Students assigned based on tutor availability, location and expertise
• Payment calculated per teaching hour
• Opportunity to receive additional students based on performance and availability

Compensation

Hourly Rate: RM 70 – RM 190 per hour For One to One Class

Hourly Rate: RM 300 – RM 700 per hour For Group Class

The final hourly rate will depend on:

• Academic qualifications
• Teaching/tutoring experience
• Student level
• Curriculum/subject requirements
• Teaching location
• Online or physical classes
