We’re Hiring: Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer

Location: Miri, Sarawak

Ark Engineering Group is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team working on international mining, mineral processing and industrial projects.

Requirements:

English communication skills are mandatory

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation design for mining, mineral processing, oil & gas or heavy industrial facilities

Proficient in:

* AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical

* Microsoft Office

* ETAP

* Bluebeam Revu (preferred)

Experience preparing:

* LV Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)

* MCC General Arrangement Drawings

* MCC Schematic Drawings

* MCC Termination Drawings

* Electrical Equipment Layouts (ELL)

* Electrical General Arrangement Drawings

* Cable Schedules

* Cable Routing Layouts

* Instrument Lists

* Instrument Loop, Schematic & Termination Drawings

* Electrical Demolition & Tie-in Drawings

Strong knowledge of:

* LV power distribution systems

* Motor Control Centres (MCC)

* Industrial instrumentation

* PLC / SCADA systems

* Hazardous Area design (preferred)

* Brownfield plant modifications

* Mining and mineral processing facilities

Experience with the following will be an advantage:

* Protection studies

* Electrical load calculations

* Cable sizing calculations

* Earthing and lightning protection design

* Construction work packs

* Commissioning documentation

* Australian and international electrical design standards

Able to lead design packages, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and deliver projects within tight deadlines.

Mining and mineral processing experience will be highly prioritised.
