A growing regional group is looking for a Group Chief People Officer to lead its people and organizational strategy across multiple countries. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, this person will help build a stronger management team and prepare the organization for continued growth.

A major focus will be developing leaders internally, improving succession coverage and creating consistent standards for leadership, performance and talent management across the group.

Responsibilities

  • Advise the CEO and executive team on leadership, workforce, culture and organizational matters.
  • Build a group-wide leadership framework covering new managers, senior leaders and executives.
  • Coach senior leaders and strengthen accountability, decision-making and management capability.
  • Establish succession plans for critical roles and identify high-potential employees, leadership gaps and talent risks.
  • Create a regional early-career leadership programme covering recruitment, assessment, job rotations, mentoring and placement.
  • Lead organisation design, workforce planning, restructuring and capability reviews as the business grows.
  • Set consistent performance-management standards, including KPIs, talent reviews, promotion criteria and underperformance processes.
  • Develop group-wide learning and career-development programmes across leadership, functional and technical skills.
  • Improve employee engagement, company culture, internal communication and the overall employee experience.
  • Oversee strategic hiring and the wider HR function, including compensation, payroll, HR systems, employee relations, policies, compliance and mobility.

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of progressive HR or organizational leadership experience, including five years or more in a senior executive role.
  • Experience leading a regional or multinational People function across several countries.
  • Proven success building leadership-development programmes, internal talent pipelines and succession plans.
  • Strong experience in organizational transformation, workforce planning and change management.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise and influence CEOs and executive leadership teams.
  • Experience coaching senior leaders and improving management effectiveness.
  • Strong understanding of performance management, talent assessment and culture development.
  • Commercial mindset with sound financial understanding and the ability to use data when making workforce decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Organizational Development or a related field.
  • A master’s degree or MBA would be an advantage.
