Maintenance Technician

Location: Perai, Penang
Employment Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 4-2 Shift

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns and identify basic mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or equipment-related issues.
• Carry out machine repairs, adjustments and parts replacement to minimize production downtime.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and provide technical support to Production.
• Perform regular equipment inspections and ensure machines are operating safely and efficiently.
• Assist Engineers in troubleshooting complex equipment and recurring machine issues.
• Support machine installation, setup, modification and improvement activities.
• Perform basic maintenance on motors, sensors, switches, pneumatic components, fixtures and other machine components.
• Record maintenance activities, machine breakdowns, repairs and parts replacement accurately.
• Monitor equipment condition and report potential failures or abnormalities.
• Support spare-parts control and ensure critical maintenance parts are available when required.
• Assist with equipment improvement activities to improve machine reliability, productivity and uptime.
• Follow maintenance SOPs, Work Instructions and equipment safety procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping and comply with 5S and EHS/safety requirements.
• Work closely with Production, Process and Engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform other maintenance-related duties assigned by the Supervisor or Engineer.

Requirements

• SKM / Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics, Industrial Maintenance or other related technical fields.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with experience in machine maintenance, equipment troubleshooting or manufacturing will have an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems is preferred.
• Basic understanding of motors, sensors and production machinery is an advantage.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on and willing to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be willing to work on shift.

Working Schedule

4-2 Shift Pattern

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 5:30 AM
• Shift arrangement is subject to operational requirements.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
