Job Description:

We are seeking a Purchaser to manage and execute procurement activities for construction materials, marine equipment, and specialized services related to civil, marine, and dredging projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and ensuring timely delivery to support project execution and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate, and procure materials, equipment, and services related to civil engineering, marine, and dredging works.
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing, credit terms, and reliable delivery schedules.
• Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate material forecasting and timely deliveries to site.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain an approved vendor list.
• Keep abreast of market trends, product developments, and cost changes.
• Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure efficient supply chain flow.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of purchasing experience in civil engineering, marine, or dredging construction industries.
• Strong negotiation skills with a solid track record of cost savings and supplier development.
• Familiarity with construction materials, marine equipment, dredging consumables, and project-based procurement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software (e.g., SAP, AutoCount, or similar).
• Strong sense of urgency, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month
