Infrastructure Engineer I (DP World)
Location: Hong Kong (with on-premise project work)
About the Role
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to implement, support and maintain our hybrid infrastructure across on-premise environments and Microsoft Azure. You will handle day-to-day network and system support, take part in infrastructure projects, and keep our systems secure, stable and well documented.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and support on-premise infrastructure projects in Hong Kong and Korea, including network and application setup for the offices, system integration and tuning.
- Provide day-to-day network and system support for servers, storage and network infrastructure, both on-premise and on Azure.
- Set up and administer Linux and Windows servers, on-premise and on Azure.
- Maintain the hybrid cloud infrastructure in line with company standards, security controls and processes.
- Carry out weekend maintenance of on-premise equipment, mainly at the Hong Kong office and/or data center.
- Run system backups and recovery processes in line with defined disaster recovery activities.
- Keep hardware, software and asset inventory records accurate and up to date.
- Troubleshoot issues raised by internal teams and clients. Own and resolve support cases and planned tasks, and update their status promptly.
- Handle ad-hoc 24x7 infrastructure activities (e.g. non-office-hours requests) on-premise and on Azure when required.
- Work rotational shifts when requested.
- Research new technologies and prepare knowledge-transfer materials for team members.
- Plan your own work to meet project objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- 2 years' experience handling network support cases on Fortinet / Check Point / Cisco firewalls and switches.
- 2 years' experience administering cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
- Knowledge of VMware ESXi, vCenter and vSphere, Windows and Linux servers, Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Good understanding of Azure services (VMs, subnets, virtual networks, NSGs and service endpoints).
- Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux OS setup and application installation.
- Hands-on experience with containers (Docker/Podman) setup and configuration.
- Hands-on experience with Azure CLI/PowerShell and scripting for Azure automation.
- Solid shell scripting and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi support.
- Good written and spoken English.
Preferred
- CCNA / CCNP certification (or a similar networking certification).

Pay: $380,500.00 - $456,600.00 per year
