This role leads and manage the full spectrum of HR functions for K&T in partnership with the senior leadership to align HR Strategies, Policies and Operations with its Business Goals.

Strategic HR & Policy
- Develop, review and implement HR policies, SOPs, and the employee handbook, aligned to business goals and the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, and other applicable legislation.
- Advise management on HR-related matters (e.g. risks, compliance, trends and industry best practice.
- Support organisational design and workforce planning in line with Business Plans.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Own end-to-end recruitment across the organisation: manpower planning, job postings, sourcing, interviewing, selection and onboarding.
- Build talent pipelines for critical manufacturing, technical, and support roles.
- Manage relationships with recruitment agencies, job portals, and (where applicable) foreign worker agencies.
Compensation, Benefits & Personnel Cost Management
- Ensure payroll accuracy and statutory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB/MTD, HRDF levy etc).
- Develop and manage the HR/personnel budget; monitor headcount cost and manpower cost ratios; identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct periodic salary benchmarking exercises to ensure compensation and benefits remain competitive and aligned to business performance outcomes
Training, Development & Performance Management
- Design and manage training & development programmes, including HRDF-claimable training.
- Develop performance appraisal tools and manage evaluation cycle, KPI setting, and performance improvement plans.
- Build succession planning and career development frameworks.
Employee & Industrial Relations
- Build a strong organisational culture and foster positive employee relations through engagement initiatives
- Manage grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and domestic inquiries in compliance with Malaysian labour law.
- Liaise with statutory bodies (JTKSM, KWSP, PERKESO, LHDN) and, where applicable, employee/union representatives.
HR Systems, Reporting & Team Leadership
- Administer and optimise the HRMS for up-to-date records, payroll, leave and attendance.
- Prepare HR dashboards/reports (headcount, turnover, cost-per-hire, absenteeism) for regular management review.
