Position : Sales Engineer

Location : Kuala Lumpur & Melaka

Position Overview

A Sales Engineer to support and grow its semiconductor materials business in Malaysia. The role combines technical problem-solving and customer-facing sales activities. The successful candidate will understand customer production issues, provide technical recommendations, coordinate with headquarters, and develop long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand customer technical issues and provide suitable solutions.
• Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Support customer inquiries and troubleshoot application-related problems.
• Work closely with customers to customize specifications based on requirements.
• Coordinate with HQ on purchasing, technical matters, and administration support.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and RFP responses.
• Develop sales opportunities and increase market presence in Malaysia.
• Gather market and customer feedback for product improvement.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and achieve departmental objectives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Technical disciplines, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Technical sales experience within semiconductor industry is an added advantage.
• Service Engineers interested in moving into sales are highly considered.
• Candidates with customer-facing technical support experience are welcomed.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently, strong interpersonal and customer management skills.
• Good command of English, Mandarin and Bahasa.
• Candidate must possess own vehicle.
• Candidates are expected to visit Melaka approximately every 1 to 2 weeks.
• Must be comfortable meeting customers and attending client entertainment sessions when needed.
• 2-7 years of experience in:-
• Technical Sales
• Sales Engineering
• Application Engineering
• Service Engineering with interest in sales

• Year-end group bonus (typically minimum 1 month).
• No commission structure.
• Hybrid work arrangement after confirmation.
• Fully onsite during probation.
• Hybrid working arrangement upon confirmation.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
