- Perform and monitor incoming, in-process and final inspection activities for cabinet assembly.
- Verify product dimensions, appearance, functionality, assembly condition and workmanship according to drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
- Ensure proper inspection methods, gauges and measuring equipment are used.
- Monitor quality performance and identify recurring defects and trends.
- Ensure non-conforming products are properly identified, segregated and controlled.
- Support customer audits, inspections and quality visits.
- Respond to customer quality concerns and provide technical information when required.
- Support development and review of PFMEA, Control Plan and Work Instructions with relevant departments.
- Maintain quality records and ensure proper document revision control.
- Lead or support investigation of internal and customer quality issues.
- Perform root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D and Pareto analysis.
- Establish corrective and preventive actions and monitor their effectiveness.
- Follow up on improvement actions until closure.
- Support continuous improvement projects related to cabinet assembly.
- Conduct process audits and layered process audits where required.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, NPI, Procurement and Warehouse to resolve quality issues.
- Provide quality guidance to operators and inspectors.
- Support training related to product quality, inspection methods and workmanship standards.
- Escalate critical quality issues to the QA Manager and relevant management.
Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably in sheet metal, cabinet, fabrication or assembly manufacturing.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with engineering drawings, GD&T and measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Experience in FAI, PFMEA, Control Plan and 8D is an advantage.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to communicate effectively with production and engineering teams.
- Able to work independently and handle multiple quality issues.
Working Days: Monday - Friday
- Working Hours: 8.00am-6.00pm
Pay: RM2,900.00 - RM4,200.00 per month
