ABOUT THE MAJURITY TRUST

The Majurity Trust (Majurity) is a philanthropic organisation that works with donors, social impact partners, and communities to build a thriving Singapore for all. We strive to bridge the gaps in our community that need attention.

We believe in tackling the less-talked-about and often thornier issues by collaborating with our donors and partners. We value the power of the collective. We are constantly engaging with people who are driven to make a real difference in the social sector. This means being open and being willing to look at issues differently. Learn more at www.majurity.sg.

ABOUT STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS

The Strategic Communications team leads the narrative infrastructure that makes Majurity's philanthropic work legible — to donors, grantee partners, and the broader public. Our work spans storytelling & messaging, creative direction & production, events & experience design, social media, PR and photography & videography.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking to hire a Content Creation & Social Apprentice to join our Strategic Communications team.

This role is for someone who is energised by the possibility of helping to amplify impact through creative and meaningful ways. You will work closely with our Strategic Communications team across a suite of disciplines, playing a key role in shaping how Majurity and The Foundry shows up on social media and at our flagship events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Content Creation & Social Media

  • Lead social trend spotting across platforms, and propose trends for us to leverage.
  • Ideate, plan, capture, create, and post content.
  • Take charge of posting and engaging on social media, including responding to comments and messages from our community.
  • Write clear, engaging captions and copy that reflect Majurity and The Foundry’s tone of voice.
  • Track content performance and engagement, and use insights to refine our approach.
  • Collaborate with our creative team on templates, visuals, and content design.

Team & Events Support

  • Work closely with our Project Management & Marketing lead and team of creatives.
  • Support the wider strategic communications team beyond content creation and social media management (e.g. setting up during events).

AI & Tools

  • Curious to use AI to enhance content creation, social media strategy, and everyday workflows.
  • Be comfortable using editing and design tools such as Canva and CapCut to bring content ideas to life.

WHO IS THIS ROLE FOR

This role is for someone who lives and breathes content. You get a kick out of turning a raw moment from a flagship event into a scroll-stopping post, and you're just as comfortable behind the camera as you are writing the caption. You don't need to have done this professionally before — but you do need to be curious, resourceful, and unafraid to experiment, whether that's with content, new tools, or ideas that haven't been tried before.

  • A love for content creation; experience is preferable, but not compulsory.
  • Someone who is able to think laterally, and out of the box.
  • Someone who thrives on ideation and creative expression.
  • Comfortable using content creation and editing tools (e.g. Canva, CapCut, InShot, Adobe Suite) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and an eye for current content trends.
  • Good writing skills, with an eye for tone and detail.
  • A team player who is comfortable working in a small, fast-paced environment and pitching in wherever needed.
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-moving, hands-on environment — and able to adapt under uncertainty.
  • Able to commit to a 6-month period, with the ability to work from office a few times a week.

APPLICATION DETAILS

We recognise that academic performance and experience alone do not define a person's ability to succeed. What matters most is having the right underlying character and attitudes. If you are interested and believe you have what it takes to excel in this position, we would like to hear from you too.
