Job SummaryBao Long Engineering Pte Ltd is a specialized metal construction company and fabricator based in Singapore, primarily engaged in the manufacturing of metal doors, windows, fences, and steel gratings. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to manage our financial health and ensure rigorous reporting for our engineering and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills and preferably have experience within the construction or project-based engineering industry to handle complex project costings and financial workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting & Accounts: Handle the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
• Project Costing: Maintain separate financial records for individual construction or renovation projects, ensuring accurate tracking of project-specific expenses.
• Statutory Compliance: Prepare monthly and yearly financial reports, including Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheets.
• Tax & Audit Liaison: Coordinate with auditors for statutory reporting and handle GST treatments and tax agent requirements.
• Daily Operations: Perform bank reconciliations, prepare payment vouchers, and manage daily sales inputs and payments to suppliers. [1]
• Administrative Support: Assist with wider administrative duties such as stock inventory oversight and potentially applying for work passes if required. [1]

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g., CPA, ACCA preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced Excel for financial modeling.
• Experience with accounting software such as MYOB is highly preferred.
• Core Competencies:
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage strict reporting deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain meticulous audit trails for engineering projects.
• Accountability and high attention to detail in handling confidential financial data.
