Summary

Responsible for managing the commercial and cost aspects of projects, from tendering and procurement through to project completion. The role involves preparing cost estimates and tender documents, evaluating quotations, monitoring project costs and variations, managing progress claims and final accounts, and ensuring effective cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare competitive tender submissions, cost estimates, and commercial proposals for Facilities Management (FM), maintenance, engineering, and A&A projects.
• Prepare tender pricing, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Review contractors' quotations and Schedule of Rates (SOR) to ensure competitive pricing.
• Prepare tender submissions, commercial proposals, and tender clarifications.
• Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and risk assessments.
• Maintain tender documentation, cost databases, and pricing records.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in tendering, estimating, or commercial quantity surveying, preferably in Facilities Management, engineering, maintenance, or construction.
• Strong knowledge of tendering, cost estimation, procurement, contract administration, and SOR pricing.
• Good analytical, commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and estimating/QS software
